He also attended a construction clinic with Silvia Gurfein, Valeria Maculán, Sergio Bazán and Tulio de Sagastizábal; and to the workshops of Guillermo Roux, Eduardo Stupía and Pablo Siquier. Among his individual exhibitions are: Tripa Cotillón at the La Boca headquarters of the Andreani Foundation (2019), Strawberry Bombón at Miranda Bosch Gallery (2017), Ritual de lo habitual at Habitat Galería + Argento Galería (2015), Lessons guitar in Fiebre Galería (2013) and Self-Portraits at the Bank Boston Foundation (2008). During 2017, Hilger participated in the first edition of FACA – Argentine Contemporary Art Fair and the group exhibitions La piedra fundamental in NN Galería, La Plata, and Relational practices: displacement and exchange as an exhibition platform at the Hotel Dorá in Córdoba , curated by Georgina Valdez. Julio Hilger’s works, anchored in an aesthetic of the monstrous, show two very characteristic and complementary areas of interest: on the one hand, a formal inclination for the use of a sculptural language that mostly uses clay in different states, but also ceramics, wax, paraffin, plaster, paper, and cardboard; and, on the other, a sustained reflection on the capacity of art to give shape and semanticize evanescent figures, minor characters and discarded objects. Thus, his work continues to unfold a universe of amorphous creatures on a small and large scale in which the possibilities of these poor materials are extreme. In this way, he configures a kind of eschatology in a trance, a chaotic, organic and provisional microworld where the objet trouvé, trash and kitsch randomly coexist.

[242,248,276,271,238
post-2497","artistas","type-artistas","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-ceramica-en","tag-dibujo-en","tag-fantasia-en","tag-escultura-en","tag-basura-en","entry
["GET
