Through her lens scenes of the current kingdom, panoramic views and high-rise architecture become paradoxical portraits of overcrowded cities. Likewise, in all of her series the color palette plays a leading role. Along with the saturation and exaggeration of her colors, the artist achieves a close relationship with painting, thus exceeding the limits of the documentary photographic record. Marchetti finds in \u201cthe everyday\u201d a carrier of great cultural wealth, and it is through her works that they invite us to think about the link between space, context and culture.<br><br>Lorena trained as a Graphic Designer at the University of Buenos Aires. She conducted art clinics with Gabriel Valansi, Diana Aisenberg, Marta Z\u00e1tonyi and Eduardo Stup\u00eda, among others. In 2013 she was selected to participate in the annual PAC Project Artist Program at the Gachi Prieto Gallery.<br><br>She has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including: La Marca Original: Argentine art (Centro Cultural Kirchner, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2019); An imagined community (National House of the Bicentennial, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2018); Disarticulations (#4 C.LAB Mercosul, Blau Projects Gallery, S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil, 2017); Vertigo (Galer\u00eda Gachi Prieto, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2017); Fiftyfity (50\/50)&#8230; the Chimba! (PASTO Galer\u00eda, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2014) and Promises about the bidet (Desborde Galer\u00eda, Bogot\u00e1, Colombia, 2013).<br><br>Regarding awards and competitions, he won the Third Prize in Photography at the 104th National Hall of Visual Arts (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2015) and was a Finalist for the lta\u00fa Cultural Award for Visual Arts (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2014 and 2012 ).<br><br>Since 2015 she has been a member of the Foto F\u00e9minas Collective, a platform that seeks to promote female artists working in Latin America and the Caribbean. During 2016 and 2017 she carried out the art direction of the Escenario Prestado cycle, an editorial project of the Gachi Prieto Gallery that articulates visual arts and literature.
